Vision, mission and values are important for the strategic direction of any organisation. They form the foundations of what business we do. A survey by a popular organisation shows that 98% of the start-ups fail because of the lack of a clear business model. This lack of business model is due mainly due to the lack of clarity in vision and mission. Most people think Vision is only for the top leadership of the organisation, but if everyone is aware of the vision, it helps everyone come up new ideas and contribute to achieving the vision of the company. Vision mission defines the products, business and the customers. They provide the direction for everyone in the organisation to follow. A mission statement helps to identify the gap in the market and create value for the company’s customers. Mission also acts as instant rapport with key audiences like investors, employees and potential customers.

All in all, vision is the destination that the company wants to reach while the mission provides with the roadmap to arrive at that destination.
